Detailed Itinerary Idea

Day 1. Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Distance 30km-1hour

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our professional team will warmly greet you and transport you to your accommodation in Arusha for relaxation and overnight. Briefing about the upcoming adventure can be done today or tomorrow morning.

Arumeru River Lodge

The lodge is conveniently situated halfway between Kilimanjaro airport and Arusha town, at an approximate distance of one kilometer from the main road, within a distinctive and protected area. Spanning across a vast expanse of seven hectares, the lodge is encompassed by a secure perimeter fence. Within its magnificent gardens, you will have the pleasure of observing dik-diks, monkeys, and a diverse array of bird species. Moreover, the lodge offers captivating views of both the majestic Kilimanjaro and the Mount Meru.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park, Distance 170km-3.5 hours

After breakfast head to Tarangire National Park.

What will our day look like?
After arriving in Tarangire National Park and complete all formalities then together with your private professional safari guide enter the park and start looking for wild animals, engage in an extraordinary adventure in Tarangire National Park, known for its unrivaled elephant population and striking baobab trees. Traverse the park's diverse habitats, encountering giraffes, zebras, and various bird species along the way. Bask in the serenity of the park's pristine landscapes, relishing the extraordinary sightings and the unparalleled tranquility nature has bestowed upon this unique haven.

Lunch, today you will enjoy your day meal in the bush.

After enjoying a thrilling day game drive, you will depart the park during the evening hours and proceed to your lodge where you will spend the night.

Ngorongoro Farm House

Escape to the peaceful and picturesque Ngorongoro Farmhouse located on a vast coffee farm. This charming lodge is divided into two sections, each with its own lounge and bar areas, allowing for plenty of space. The rooms are tastefully decorated with local rustic materials, creating a colonial farm atmosphere. Conveniently situated just 3km from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, this lodge is an ideal option for a stopover between safaris. Day 3. Karatu to Central Serengeti National Park, Distance 230 km- 4.5 hours

As you journey through the esteemed Ngorongoro Conservation Area, brace yourself for an awe-inspiring encounter with the sprawling plains of the Serengeti National Park, which await you with open arms during the early afternoon.

Day 4. Full day in Central Serengeti National Park

The remarkable region encompassing Lobo and the Grumeti River boasts a delightful array of resident wildlife that flourishes all year round.

Impressive creatures like elephants, buffalos, gazelles, zebras, mighty lions, elusive leopards, and swift cheetahs can be spotted here, regardless of the migratory patterns. Immerse yourself in exceptional game watching opportunities, where you can quietly track wildlife for extended periods without encountering other vehicles. As you traverse the park, be enchanted by the captivating sight of magnificent riverine trees adorning the tranquil river lines. Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp

Day 5&6. Serengeti National Park – Southern Serengeti National Park (Ndutu Region)

After having breakfast, our next destination will be the Ndutu area in the Ngorongoro conservation area, which forms part of the eco-system of the southern Serengeti. Lake Ndutu, similar to other rift lakes, is alkaline in nature; however, the water remains drinkable and is utilized by a diverse range of local wildlife.

Our afternoon activities will include a game drive in the Ndutu area. From December to April, the majority of the wildebeest migration can usually be observed on the short-grass plains. Furthermore, this region is regularly populated with abundant elephant herds, various bird species, and resident game.

On the following day, an entire day will be dedicated to a thrilling game drive in the Ndutu area. This expedition will comprise an exploration of diverse habitats including swamps, woodland, soda lakes, and the renowned Serengeti short grass plains. Notably, during a brief timeframe starting from February and lasting for approximately three weeks, you will have the exceptional opportunity to observe large herds of wildebeest and zebras in the vicinity. This period coincides with the majority of wildebeest giving birth to their young.

The vast expanse of grassland in this region offers minimal shelter, making the vulnerable newborns an easy target for a variety of predators. Astonishingly, wildebeest calves are capable of running within minutes of being born, and within just three days, they typically gain the strength to keep up with the rest of the herd.

In the afternoon, we will return to our accommodation.

Ndutu Kati Kati

Located in the south Serengeti from December to March, Ndutu Kati Kati is a seasonal mobile camp that offers a strategic base for exploring the vast southern region and witnessing the incredible migration.

This camp provides not only comfortable accommodation but also a truly authentic safari experience. Their cozy tents seamlessly blend with the surrounding landscape, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the abundant wildlife and lush vegetation of the area. Inspired by the pioneering camps of Africa's early explorers, our unique form of lodging combines the charm of the past with the modern comforts of today.

Day 7. Ndutu Area (Southern Serengeti) to Ngorongoro Crater, 60 km 1.5 hours

Get ready for an energizing start to the day! Following an early morning meal, embark on a thrilling journey down the steep trail that leads to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Renowned as the largest and untouched caldera in the world, this breathtaking natural wonder teems with an astonishing array of wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled not only for zebras and wildebeests but also for the elusive black rhino and other members of the famed Big Five. You'll also encounter a fascinating array of animals including hyenas, waterbucks, bushbucks, eland, and over 500 species of birds. Following an exhilarating game drive and a refreshing picnic lunch, you'll bid farewell to the caldera in the afternoon and commence your return to Karatu town, arriving in the early evening.

Ngorongoro Farm House

Ngorongoro Farmhouse is situated on a sprawling 500-acre coffee farm, providing an ideal environment for guests to unwind amidst the serene and picturesque surroundings. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking vistas of Oldeani Volcano while strolling along the enchanting coffee plantation.

This charming lodge is divided into two distinct sections, each featuring its own communal lounge and bar areas, fostering a sense of spaciousness. Exuding a traditional colonial farm ambiance, every room is thoughtfully adorned with rustic materials sourced from the local region.

An optimal choice for a convenient transit point between safaris, Ngorongoro Farm House is strategically positioned a mere 3km away from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Indulge in relaxation by the shimmering swimming pool, offering panoramic views of the majestic Oldeani Volcano, or embark on an invigorating cycle ride around the splendid plantation. Day 8. International departure, Distance 200 km-3.5hours

After having our breakfast, we will be leaving Karatu town and making our way towards Kilimanjaro International Airport in order to catch our flight back home.
