Day 1. Meet at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be greeted by your East Africa Safari Guide, who will accompany you in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. As a gesture of hospitality, a bottle of water and a refreshing cool towel will be provided to make your journey more pleasant.
The transfer time to Rivertrees Lodge is approximately 35 minutes, while Lake Duluti Lodge can be reached in about 50 minutes. Day 2. Drive to the Ngorongoro Crater via Lake Manyara National Park or Fly to Manyara Airport and drive to The Highlands

Your driver will transport you through Arusha town to the bustling Arusha Airport. Serving as the central hub for Tanzania's Northern Circuit, this airport buzzes with activity throughout the day. A brief flight will take you to Manyara Airstrip, where a safari guide from The Highlands will be ready to greet you. As you embark on your journey, revel in the picturesque drive up and out of the Great Rift Valley, following the same path as the driving safari until you reach the viewpoint.
From there, your route takes you in a counterclockwise direction around the rim of the crater, eventually leading you away from it and into the lush, rolling highlands of Ngorongoro. As you traverse the base of Ol Moti Crater, you will pass by goat herders and cheerful school children, finally arriving on the northern slopes of the crater and the inviting ambiance of The Highlands. A delectable late lunch will be awaiting you, allowing you to leisurely soak in the breathtaking views from your veranda for the remainder of the afternoon.
From there, your route takes you in a counterclockwise direction around the rim of the crater, eventually leading you away from it and into the lush, rolling highlands of Ngorongoro. The chilly temperatures, however, will quickly fade from your mind as you embark on your descent into the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater.
Once you reach the crater floor, take some time to savor a cup of coffee and have a light breakfast while immersing yourself in the captivating game drive experience that this unique location offers. A delightful picnic lunch awaits you by the hippo pool, where you can enjoy the company of these magnificent creatures while refueling. As the afternoon approaches, it's time to ascend the caldera walls and make your way back to camp, where you can freshen up and unwind with a drink in the bar before a satisfying dinner.

Day 4. Drive to Dunia Camp in the Serengeti, or fly to Sasakwa Singita Game Reserve
The drive from the crater rim down through the changing vegetation into the open short grass plains of Ngorongoro and the Serengeti is a beautiful introduction to the “southern plains”. However, it is a long drive and it can be dusty when vehicles pass in the opposite direction.
At Naabi Hill Gate, where you’ll stop to arrange park fees, find a cool spot under the trees to enjoy your picnic lunch, then stretch the legs with a quick walk up Naabi Hill to take in some of the best views of the Serengeti – especially when the Migration is in the south. From here, it’s approximately 2.5 hours to Dunia Camp, but this depends on how much wildlife you see along the way.
Arriving at camp in the mid-afternoon, there is time to relax, freshen up and take in your new surroundings. To journey to Sasakwa Singita Game Reserve, your departure will begin at The Highlands following an early breakfast.
A leisurely drive will then take you along the crater rim and down the escarpment to Manyara Airstrip, where you will catch a brief flight connecting you to Sasakwa Singita Game Reserve. Upon arrival at Sasakwa Airstrip, one of our experienced guides will warmly welcome you to the wildlife reserve. From there, you will embark on a thrilling game drive transfer that will lead you to the exquisite luxury of Sasakwa Singita Game Reserve.
